Charitable Donations: Donating your money to worthy charities
When people donate to a charity, they want to make sure their hard-earned money is making a difference. We all do. And we want to know that the nonprofit’s funds are going to programs that make an impact.
Fisher House Foundation works hard to be a good steward of the funds entrusted to us. One of the best ways to know your donation, to Fisher House or to any organization, is making an impact is to review third-party endorsers (nonprofit watchdogs). They provide transparency – so you know exactly where your donation goes.
Fisher House Foundation has received the coveted 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator. This is the 14th consecutive year the Foundation has been noted for its sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency by Charity Navigator, with an overall score of 100 out of 100. These ratings put Fisher House in the top one percent of nonprofits they monitor.
For more than a decade, the Foundation has also earned A+ ratings from Charity Watch. These ratings are considered the most stringent in the sector. CharityWatch analysts dig deep, scrutinizing the individual finances of charities to give donors a clearer understanding of how their donations are being spent.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that Fisher House Foundation recently earned the 2018 Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. GuideStar allows us to share our metrics that highlight our progress toward our mission of supporting military, veterans and their families.

“For more than 25 years, Fisher House Foundation has been dedicated to those we are privileged to serve – our nation’s military, veterans and their families,” said Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO, Fisher House Foundation. “I remain humbled and awed every day by the generosity of those who have supported the Foundation. We not only appreciate their support, we vow to continue to be fiscally responsible with every dollar they donate.”
