Hunter's Green Club Helps Armed Forces

NORTH TAMPA - The Women's Club of Hunter's Green recently donated $4,500 to the Fisher House at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital.

Mary Kay York, president of the club, and Kathy Houlihan, the club's secretary, presented the check to Paula Welenc of Fisher House. Fisher House assists the families of injured members of the armed forces by providing lodging, food and emotional support while their family members are in the hospital.

The money was raised through a luncheon, community treasure sale, holiday boutique and membership dues.
